Of Aspirations, Achievements and Acting

The day pretty much started in a very positive note as Pres. Joe and the rest of the board presented the RCMN’s plans and accomplishments to date. The was the highlight of the District team visit, which was headed by AG Ed Tintoc Pres. Joe prepared a power point presentation, which left a good impression on AG Ed.

The time spent on the district team visit went by so quickly, and the regular Wednesday meeting started. While the set lunch was being served, the members buckled down to the interested and fruitful fellowship, chat and banter. Today was a club assembly meeting and there was no invited speaker, but rather we had Pres Joe sharing with the members the same plans and achievements that were reported earlier. Some of the announcements made last week are already accomplishments as you read this article, like the very successful 1st leg of the Governor’s Golf Tournament. So we thought the meeting was going to go the same old format of the club assembly.

But wait…we did have a speaker featured. She is no other than Michelle Washington Bellinger, wife of newly inducted member Chris Bellinger. You have to be at the meeting to feel Michelle’s energy and enthusiasm. Michelle who trained in theater and theater management (double masters degree no less), spoke about her advocacy…which is the theater. Her first project is a dinner-show titled “Le Cabaret” to be held at Sofitel Philippine Paza Hotel down by the Manila Bay. Her love for the theater does not end with producing shows. She also shares her knowledge and experience with students at the University of the Philippines where she also teaches.
