This Governor’s visit was probably the shortest I attended at RC Makati North for many many years. Short, but direct to the point. Governor Billy’ style, like a successful military leader was to give awareness of what is needed.
One vital but weak component of the Rotary movement was exposed again by PP Vic Austria but unfortunately downplayed and left hanging. The point is that Clubs should merge and form strong operational units. Let’s go for Quality and not Quantity. Modesty aside, this was my suggestion already to then Gov. Coloma in 1997 when the first signs of stress appeared on the surface. May be we need to sink a bit further before we decide actions for the benefit of the Rotary movement and not to the serve selfish personalities of a few.
YOUNG ROTARIANS NEEDS TO BECOME ACTIVE in the Club and bring it to new heights. We are blessed because we have several young Rotarians. Let’s bind them into our hard core’ group and strengthen RC Makati North once and for all. Amen
And since the month of November is the month declared by the catholic church to remember the departed loved ones, I am requesting the pious reader to say a prayer in silence for all his departed relatives and friends and specially for our Makati North’ Rotarians who went ahead: Ces Catalan, PP Toni Ortigas, CP Lito Caluag, Leo Caguioa, PP Peny Reloza, PP Mon Tuason, and others.
