Pres. Mac (now IPP Mac) was in tears. When he handed the plaque of appreciation to our staff Betty, Crispin and Moly, he was overcome with emotion (it takes a real man to show tears), and the pics will be worth a thousand words. But I’m getting ahead of my story, which is the last meeting of Pres Mac for RCMN. So let me start from the beginning.
It was two long table’s worth of attendees, full house in fact, to see off Pres. Mac. Members, Anns, RCC members. Sec. Bob reported on his attendance to RC Wack Wack’s induction along with a few other members last week. They’re fast workers, and have an infant formula milk project, a club sisterhood proposal and other projects in the pipeline already. I suggest the rest of the guys meet them first Bob!

I do have to make special mention of the great buffet spread, I had more than my usual share of grilled prawns and tender carvings! All for P618!
PP Joe R proposed including RCMN in U.P. Alumni Association’s project of recognizing the country’s greenest companies in different sectors and volunteered reliable Vince Tan to take the key role real estate sector’s judging. Does being green minded work too Joe? The project has to pass the scrutiny of the next RCMN administration though, and the better Reaño will definitely have his say on this!

And speaking of the better Reaño, PE Archie took the floor and, landing on the ground running, he immediately reported the expansion of our feeding program to 101 kids, up from 60, per school. He said he is going to revive the RCMN scholarship program where the top 5 from our 2 pet schools will be supplied with school supplies, uniforms and payment for misc fees ( about P3k ea student ). I can volunteer to take 5…
Possibilities into realities. You should be so proud Choi raised Archie properly inspite of you Joe! :)
PE Archie also talked about raising funds for the next president after him so members would not be as hesitant to take on the position as RCMN’s president. Let’s cover this year’s deficit first though Archie, then we can deal with that, gladly.

PP Vic gave the good news that Gawad Kalinga now has changed its fund release policy from being centralized to localized. Which means we can actually hold and control our own money till it actually needs to be disbursed to the project. No more centralized bureaucracy like before which resulted in needless red tape and misunderstandings. That’s the good news. The bad news is our GK funds have been fully utilized and amount back to zero. Except for the sis club donation from RC Sacramento for water purification. Take a hint guys!
Before Pres Mac took center stage, our secretariat gave a nice audio video presentation of the events that transpired last year in RCMN. How time flies! It did bring a number of happy memories, of achievements and triumphs. Pres Mac then took the floor and lo and behold, no rhetoric, just more efforts to help even more people….Great work Mac!
He then gave recognition and award to the various people who made the past year breeze along more easily. Ida Rafols and daughter Melissa for Brgy. Singkamas, IPP Vic for Gawad Kalinga, PDG Ato & PP Pabling for their Batman & Robin tandem (who Batman and Robin between the two I leave up to you ! ) for their victory at the baccarat tables and for the golf tourney….
PE Archie for F Benitez school projects, PP Dieter for new member recruitment, Sec Bob for being ever dependable Club sex oops sec., Treas Robert for his virtually permanent position of juggling nonexistent funds from delinquent members to pay off salaries and projects, Ann Vicky and the rest of the Inner Wheel on MN for their helping hand, and lastly our staff, Betty, Cris and Molly, at which point Pres Mac broke into tears. You looked cute crying Mac; we should make you cry more often! Another term as president perhaps?
Great job Pres Mac, I’m sure you will look back at this moment many years from now and I’m sure your memory as RCMN president will bring a smile on your face and even a tear or two of joy. RCMN thanks you! Good luck Pres Archie!
