The gracious guest speaker with her undeniable French accent was a typical Officer of a non Governmental organization like the World Bank. Rules and rules and more rules. And it that would not be enough, political implications play an important role in choosing the timing of the ‘financial support’ and programs for a country. Though necessary for the financing of large projects like petrochemicals, water irrigation, roads, etc., the common businessman is only a stand buyer. But we have to be aware of their functions and involvement in our country to measure their effectiveness. But as the saying goes, the one with the gold dictates the rules…

Let’s focus on the District’s Annual TRF Testimonial Dinner & Ball, one of the District’s premier Rotary event, that is fast approaching. Again —- the event date and time is Nov. 13, 2009, Friday at 6 pm and venue is at the Rigodon Ballroom of the Peninsula Manila. Tickets to the event: P1,000/guest to cover dinner, raffle, & entertainment.
