I thank God…
I thank God for giving me the chance to meet and be with great guys like you in serving our fellow Filipinos in our own simple ways.
There are twelve months in a year, and January is my favorite, not because it is the beginning but because my natal day falls on this month. Every year, I make sure that my special day is really special and there is something unique or significant about my birthday. I could say that this year, will be one of my most memorable and unforgettable birthdays. This year, I will celebrate my favorite day as a President of RC Makati North. And it’s really my privilege to serve not only this prestigious club but also my fellow RCMNers as well.
A strong bond and good relationship within my family, continuous growth of our company so we could perform our social responsibilities, good health for every one especially for my parents, these are a few things that I’ve always wished for. But this year of the water dragon, according to the Chinese, I want to include and create that this will come true, is for RCMN to stay strong not for the district but for the communities that were adopted and has been supported by the club.
I am halfway through in this rotary year, and even if there were issues and concerns, I do believe that it will be prodigious year for this club. I really acknowledge and admire all the members most especially the Councils of Past Presidents who are always there to make sure that everything will be in order, from choosing a President Elect to raising funds, I can really see and feel the love for the club from each and every one of you. With this, there are no reasons for me not to do the same thing and I already committed myself that I’ll always be here to give my support to the club.
The club has still some projects that will need your support and among these are the Medical and Dental Mission for our Aeta brothers and sisters in Botolan, Zambales (February). Another is the Poker Tournament (March) that will be organized by the company of our newest member Darrel, with Rotary Club of Makati North foundation as the beneficiary of this tourney. The 2nd CLIPP Golf tournament will also push through this coming April. I know that, with the unity and unending support of every member of RCMN, we can accomplish all our projects even in the face of circumstances.
Lastly, thank you very much for those who generously donated for the victims of Typhoon Sendong. I hope help will continue pour in for the rehabilitation of the areas that were affected by the calamity. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
That in all things, God may be glorified.
