Infinite Possibilities for 2012
An awesome new year to everyone! Cheers!
Another year has ended, and as far as Rotary is concerned, many dreams were fulfilled and became a reality for some people who kept on hoping that life, their lives, would be better with the support of each and every one of us, Rotarians. I’ve seen how Rotarians from different clubs and different walks of life are aiming for one goal, which is to make a difference in their own special way. You can say that being a Rotarian is very simple, but it’s not easy and yet over 1.3 million people all over the world follow the Four Way Test and do Rotary work.
For six months as the president of RCMN, I realized that being part of this prestigious organization was more than a fellowship. I experienced each member’s commitment and dedication not only to the communities but also to our beloved club. I saw members especially those who have been in the club for a long time, is still spending and giving their precious time to make sure that the Rotary Club of Makati North will continue its battle against natural circumstances of life and to provide good quality living for everyone. I am so proud to be a Rotarian, I am so proud to be an RCMNer!
Every New Year, like a kid, I also have some wishes and I do hope that these wishes do come true. And this year, on top of my wish lists are: for RCMN to stay strong as a club and continuous support from every one of us and guidance from our Past Presidents, for members to be more related to each other, to have a fellowship that will defy friendship, to have a bond that will last forever, and there is no one that will take care of our club than its constituents, US. Honestly, I can say that I’m deeply into Rotary now; this is one way I can reach out to others and serve as hope for the society.
This year, there are possibilities, infinite possibilities that need to be turned into certainty. And each of us has a responsibility for the fulfillment of these possibilities. Let’s keep on creating things that will express our love not only for ourselves but for others as well. I can’t wait to accomplish every promise – life changing project that we made for our communities. We can do this!
Lastly, I acknowledge the RC Shah Alam for their generosity and for extending extra support for the victims of typhoon Sendong that devastated some cities in northern Mindanao and Visayas. I also acknowledge some RCMNers who gave their pledges already to help those affected areas in rehabilitation. For those who still wish to donate, we are still gathering and accepting any kind of donation. Thank you very much guys (two thumbs up)!
That in all things, God may be glorified!
