Gentlemen of RC Makati North!

Many thanks for contributing to the frames for the glasses for the children and teachers of F Benitez. Salamat po! We have now paid Dra. Diane for the frames.

PDG “Ato” with PP “Chick boy” Pabling Calma and the boys did us proud last week at the casino by winning P50,000 for the clubs contributions after a scrumptious Chinese dinner paid for by PDG “Ato”. After this success we shall apply to Rotary International for a “matching grant” and offer to invest their US$1 Billion they always have on deposit for a small fee.

Today, we have our own PP Bert Lingad alias “Brad Pitt” discussing his life and many achievements in building a successful business from scratch. We do however need additional speakers for February so if you know of a potential good speaker please let Betty and myself know soonest.

Unfortunately “Ma’am” Izzy has been quite sick so this has used up a lot of my attention and she wishes you all well.

The club still has a long way to go to cover its annual running costs so any ideas on how we may be able to raise money will help us.

PP Joe Reano is organizing a golf tournament to assist us on 2nd March 2011 at South Forbes so if all our members can bring say a flight each ie 4 players to the party that will help us a lot but we better be quick as many other Rotary Clubs are currently doing the same.

“Titania” has offered us a Wine and Eat all you can sponsorship where we, and our guests pay P1,500 for a fellowship and wine tasting from 6 to 10pm at a night of our choice other than Friday or weekends. P700 per head will go towards sponsoring our club so if we have 30 attendees we will raise P21000 for the club. This will be open to RCMN members and any guests they may choose to bring …including Robert Syjuco’s harem. There will be music there as well so let’s just fix a date in March and raise some money for the club. 36 attendees will generate P25,000 which will be a good contribution towards our cause plus we can have a great fellowship. The restaurant can comfortably hold 70 plus which will net us P50,000. Whopee!

I have some other ideas but they all include eating and wine so it’s time for some new ideas as well.
