My Birthday Fellowship

Last January 25, I celebrated one of my memorable Birthdays together with my brothers in Rotary Club of Makati North. It was a perfect fellowship that was held at Bistro Mondo located at Durban St. in Makati. The place was just right for the occasion and thanks to Mr. Robert Syjuco who suggested the said Resto bar. And we all know that when it is Robert’s suggestion, surely there will be no questions.

I really had fun and I felt the connection among the members of RCMN. That was one of the fellowships that we’ve been looking for, sharing and exchanging ideas that will make each and every one of us comfortable with each other. And from that, I believe that this club that I care and love will bring back the tradition as a club, as a big and very active club of District 3830. I remembered that night when Mike, Daniel and I were sharing the reasons why we were here in Rotary and I was not surprised that we have the same objectives in joining the organization. Valuable projects were the main reason why I personally enjoy Rotary and you really get the chance to make a difference in your own special way. I’m looking forward and creating powerfully that RC Makati North will have more fellowships that will make us unite, work and support each other as true brothers in every activities that our club will fulfill.

These coming months, the club will need all our support in very important projects. On March 10, the Poker Tournament that will be held in Waterfront Hotel, Manila and RCMN will benefit on this fund raising project. I acknowledge and thank Dieter and Mac for taking on this project and committing themselves to make this a successful one. And of course to RCMN’s Darrel Way and his company who will be organizing the said event. March 17 to 18 will be the District Conference and I’m inviting all of you to participate and show the District that we, the Rotary Club of Makati North are still one strong club. Our Medical and Dental Mission with our Aeta brothers and sisters in Botolan, Zambales will be on the last weekend of March. We will need some medicines and any support and assistance will be highly appreciated. Your presence of course will be of much value together with our partners for this mission, the Inner Wheel club of Makati North and RC Makati Dasmarinas.

Furthermore, we are also planning to continue with the CLIPP Golf Tournament to raise funds that will be used for the next Rotary year. And more importantly, we will arrange a fellowship in Bangkok, Thailand this coming May during the Rotary International Convention and I am encouraging each and every one of you to be part of the delegation.

And allow me to use Henry Ford’s quote: “Coming together is a beginning. Keeping together is progress. Working together is success.”

That in all things, God may be glorified.
