RC Makati North’s Partners in Service Celebrate Family of Rotary Day

The Rotary family had its annual Christmas party last December 21, 2011 (Wednesday) at the Audio Visual Room of Francisco Benitez Elementary School (FBES Main)). Attended by the Rotary Community Corps (RCC), Rotaractors and Interactors of both Brgy. Singkamas and Brgy Sta. Cruz. Present in the occasion is Rotary President Archie Reaño, Mrs. Choi Reaño from the Inner Wheel Club, PP Vic Austria, Mrs Cecilia Payumo principal of FBES Main and Mr. Jonard Pablo Principal of FBES III.

The said event was hosted by the club and organized by the RCC and Rotaractors of Brgy. Sta. Cruz. The main host of the party was Ms. Jennifer Paranas, secretary of the Rotaract Club of Brgy. Sta. Cruz. The program was prepared by the Rotaract President of Brgy. Sta. Cruz, Melissa Lourdes J. Rafols. The dinner was served by Mrs. Vilma Bermillo, Mrs. Ma. Luisa M. Sibayan and Mrs. Ida Rafols of the RCC.

The program starts with the invocation from Mr. Raijan Cristino and Daniel Sabater of Rotaract Brgy. Singkamas followed by the National Anthem delivered by Rotaractor Mark Asis. Introduction of the events guests by Mrs. Ida Rafols. Messages from Pres. Archie Reaño and the principals from both the FBES Main and FBES III was delivered before the presentation of a short-clip of the activities done on year 2011.

During the dinner, the raffle was drawn for all the Rotaract, Interact and RCC present on the event. After the dinner the games and club presentation was presented. The games include “The Sweetest Smile” wherein the participant must suck a calamansi dew before having their pictures taken. The Brgy Singkamas won in this round. The game was followed by another game called “Pinaka—“. As a break for the games, a 300-worth of SM gift cheque was given to the raffle winner, Jan Moriel OPto of Rotaract Brgy. Sta.Cruz. A short dance presentation from the Interacts if Brgy. Singkamas accompanied by the popular song “Teach Me How To Douggie” and followed by a song delivered by Rotaract Brgy. Singkamas President, Daniel Sabater. After the presentation, sets of games were soon followed with an interval of Rotaract of Brgy. Sta. Cruz presentation. The last two sets of games were “Dribble Dribble, Dance Dance” and the Filipino party’s favourite “Pinoy Henyo”. The Interact and Rotaract of Brgy. Singkamas has swept all the prizes from the games.

As for the last part of the program, President Archie Reaño has provided four cellular phones to be raffled to the Interacts and Rotaracts attendees. Mark Asis of the Rotaract and John Eric Rodrigo of the Interact won from Brgy Singkamas. While, Jennifer Paranas and Jayson Valeroso won from Brgy. Sta. Cruz.

Closing remarks was delivered by Rotaract of Brgy. Singkamas President Daniel Sabater. The party ended at exactly 7pm. It was indeed one of the successful gathering of the rotary family in the year that has passed. It only shows how united the Rotary family of the Rotary Club of Makati North was. We are all looking forward to another year productive sharing activities that shall bond the Rotary family together.
