The 3830 Rotary Academy

The clubs trainers training kicked off on July 16 in the very typical and fashionable Rotary way. A large attendance of Clubs, 50+ out of the 75+ in the district. Quite an achievement for the organizers, RCMSL and RCPM.

The Clubs Trainer will assess the clubs’ needs and tailor fit an educational (and instructive) program about Rotary.

The e-course training program for each and every Rotarian is available at the Rotary website (www.rotary.org) and go to the e-learning section). It takes no more than a few sessions to complete and it would be an honor for the club to have a 100% (virtual) attendance).

We had consensus that the membership attraction is top priority in most of the clubs. Some clubs have created innovative fellowship sessions with prospective members (identified by each member of the club) like: sports (golf, bowling, badminton, etc.) social (card games). Once several new and young members are coming to the club, then we can involve them into the membership development program. Better, if we assign them as members of certain projects for them to be hands on from the very first moment on.

The Rotary Academy district Officers are willing to bend backwards to attend to the individual requirements of each club. The motto is: Ask for it and we come to your club.

At this moment, I wish to invite each of the business leaders in our club (each Rotarian) to search for some candidates to become members in our Club. We then can take over and ‘rotarized’ them and with their engagement, we can accomplish all of our ambitious projects for this coming RY.

Many thanks to Pres. Archie in ‘inviting’ me to the Rotary Academy and become active once more in the club and to Betty and Moly for the arrangements specially the financials.
